Participation in International Conference
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kostadin Kolarov and Ch. Ass. Prof. Dr. Silviya Georgieva participated at the invitation of the organizer in the international conference Territorial and Inter-Organizational Cooperation ‘2020, which was held on September 23-24, 2020 in Brenna, Poland. The researchers from the Institute of Entrepreneurship were present on site, despite the risks associated with the spread of Covid-19. The forum also brought together (some online) scientists from a number of countries, including Brazil, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Moldova, North Macedonia, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, and Spain. The conference is organized by the Research Institute on Territorial and Inter-Organizational Cooperation at the largest private Polish university outside Warsaw - Akademia WBS, Dabrowa Górnicza, which educates over 12,000 students from 40 countries around the world.
Assoc. Prof. Kolarov was the moderator, and Dr. Georgieva - panellist in the round table debate "Inter-organizational cooperation - innovative forms and their benefits."
The results of the fundamental research on "Determinants and Models of Competitive Performance of SMEs in International Business Environment" funded by a contract with NSF № DN05 / 15 of 15.12.2016 were presented.
During their visit in Poland, Assoc. Prof. Kolarov and Dr. Georgieva held talks with the directors of the Department of Science Development and the International Relations Office of Akademia WSB, as well as with leading scientists in the field of cross-border cooperation, where they discussed ideas for future joint research and educational projects, including in the field of cross-border entrepreneurship and SME development. Opportunities for future publications of researchers from the Institute of Entrepreneurship of UNWE were discussed with Prof. Sebastian Kot, editor of the Polish Journal of Management Studies, indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.
